With planning under way, working toward another great experience with the 2021 NAB Show, we understand that health and safety is at the top of everyone’s mind. Our team is diligently working to finalize our preshow and onsite safety precautions but wanted to share the robust Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) Health and Safety Protocol document.
The LVCC has been working diligently to implement a comprehensive plan to ensure a safe but productive environment for all building visitors. Their comprehensive plan was developed with guidance from health officials after thoughtful research on health and safety protocols and industry best practices. It details initiatives including increased cleaning and sanitation, employee training, updated vendor protocols and revised food and beverage service techniques. They are closely monitoring government mandates and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance and will continue to make changes to protocols, as necessary.
Additionally, the LVCC is also among the first convention centers in the nation to apply for the prestigious Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) Star Accreditation Program, a 20-element compliance program by ISSA, The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association that is considered the gold standard in cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention. To achieve GBAC STAR accreditation, facilities must demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 elements, which range from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment and emergency preparedness and response measures.
Your health and safety are NAB’s primary concern. Be on the lookout for more information. We look forward to seeing you at the 2021 NAB Show!
